The ACE Tennis Academy can take your child’s interest in the sport of tennis and hone their racquet and sports skills.
PROGRESSIVE / SKILLS DEVELOPMENT
Our Progressive programs follow a systematic and fun teaching method helping young players learn how to play tennis quickly, efficiently and successfully. Players transition according to age through 5 stages with various court sizes, racquets and balls that are scaled down allowing for the systematic transition through the different skill levels. Competitive Aces and the High School Team programs are for experienced players who can rally and want to improve their match playing skills.
COMPETITIVE / HIGH PERFORMANCE
The competitive stream, which is for players who want to take their tennis seriously and hope to compete at a provincial, national or international level, begins with the Mini Tennis / Little Aces Team, a program that starts to prepare young players for a high performance environment. The next level is the Futures Team program, where players are also introduced to competitive tournament play. Players then progress through our more advanced competitive programs. We are committed to each player reaching his / her tennis goals, whether it is for a university scholarship, to compete at a professional level, or enjoy and excel in the sport. ACE will assist serious players in reaching performance levels that will provide them with the opportunity to compete internationally. The majority of ACE players receive a tennis scholarship in the US or play for a Canadian university. ACE helps players manage the balance between academics and high performance play and has an academic advisor. ACE also offers practice SAT sessions for academy players on Saturdays on an informal, drop-in basis at Cedar Springs Club in Burlington. The Ace Replay system provides players, coaches and parents the opportunity to access a video replay of the player’s practice, lesson or match play. The system is available in Burlington and Toronto and is free for all players in the International Team. ACE is also on SLACK, a Team Communication Tool.
Cedar Springs Club and ACE Tennis host over 50 OTA sanctioned tournaments a year, including entry level Rookie tournaments, 3 star tournaments, provincial, national and international events. The strong competitive infrastructure enables young players to learn to compete at an early age; within their own training environment.
